With over 15 years of experience in leadership roles across multiple sectors, Bernadette brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Totara Farm Trust. Bernadette focuses on leadership development and creating an environment where persons supported, and staff can flourish. Bernadette is committed to maintaining high levels of operational excellence alongside a creative approach to problem solving. A culture of transparency, innovation and responsiveness is fostered to ensure the highest standard of support and an optimal environment for the achievement of personal goals and full access to a full life.

Wendy
Mosch
Operations Lead
As a qualified nurse with specialisations in intellectual disablities, high and complex needs and mental health conditions, Wendy has over 25 years of experience in the sector.Wendy’s high level of knowledge and expertise ensures that each of the people we support receive the care, support and response most suited to their particular needs at all times. Operating across all three locations, Wendy leads our operational team to ensure that each person supported is treated as a valued individual, so that we can empower them to live their best lives.

Rebecca
Nash
People and Systems Lead
With an extensive background in the support of people with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviours, Rebecca is able to expertly support a variety of people with a range of different needs. Through the development of strategies and processes she is able to minimise associated risks for each unique situation, enabling the people we support to have positive and meaningful interactions. Rebecca provides support to our personal assistants to ensure they have all the tools needed to be able to provide high standard support to the people living in our service.

Pegrum
Station Road Coordinator
Kia ora, my name is Cullen, and I am the coordinator at Station Road. I have approximately four years’ experience in the health and disability sector working as a support worker and coordinator. I have completed a post graduate diploma in psychology – with this, I have taken what I have learnt and been able to apply frameworks individually and creatively to help enrich the lives of the people we support. Ngā mihi.

Kamol
Barber
Kingseat Coordinator
Kamol is responsible for the coordination of our Kingseat location. Kamol has over 18 years’ experience in the sector. She started in the industry whilst living in Australia and has worked in a variety of settings including home care and residential care (whilst caring for her mother who had dementia during these periods). Kamol moved back home to New Zealand and was Service Manager for another small provider before moving across to join the Totara Farm Trust whanau. Kamol is passionate about ensuring all the people we support receive top-notch, quality care suited to their particular needs and aspirations at all times, whilst injecting a dose of fun.

As chairperson of the board for over 20 years, Sue is a valuable asset to Totara Farm Trust, utilising her wealth of knowledge in providing the guidance and direction that has helped both us and those we support to thrive throughout the years. Sue holds qualifications in both teaching and business and has worked with children with different and special abilities for many years.

Board Member
With qualifications in commerce and accountancy, Jeff Small has held various CFO roles and brings to the table valuable years of expertise in accounting, strategic planning, tax and business. This helps us to ensure the longterm financial viability of the trust and the transparency required to provide confidence to the people we support and their families.

Board Member
As a practicing lawyer with expertise in Family and Elder Law, Anne Todd has been a prominent figure in New Zealand Law for over 30 years. This level of knowledge and understanding provides a strong legal understanding to the board, meaning that in complex situations we are able to ensure best practice is applied, for the safety and wellbeing of the people we support.

Family Representative
As a family representative, Brian represents the best interests of the people we support, providing important insight as a family member of a person supported by Totara Farm Trust. Our family representatives serve as advisors to the board and help direct decisions based upon the real world impact on those we support.

Dr. Lee
Beattie
Family Representative
Professor Lee Beattie is a practicing urban designer and urban planner with almost 30 years’ experience in an extensive range of urban design and urban planning matters. He has qualifications in urban planning, urban design, and environmental science. He is currently the Head of the University of Auckland’s School of Architecture and Planning and is an Independent Hearing and Duty Commissioner for a range of councils throughout New Zealand. He is also the brother and welfare guardian of one of the men supported by Totara Farm Trust.

Buckley-Smith
Board Member
Claire Buckley-Smith serves as the Advocacy Lead, an Independent Advocate and a Safeguarding Coordinator at the Personal Advocacy and Safeguarding Adults Trust (PASAT). With extensive experience, she specialises in working with adults with disabilities, providing essential support to families facing behavioural challenges, and facilitating co-parenting programs in collaboration with charity Barnardos Aotearoa.
